Online poker winner in
paradise
September 27
After a reported 3,900 online
gambling poker players played as best they could, Lee Biddulph
came out on top - in Paradise, too.
The
28 year-old chef from the UK was the
final winner of ParadisePoker.com's first Million Dollar Free
online poker tournament. Yes, he won a cool million.
Free to enter, this was a record breaker.
The final poker table, which was
played out in a mystery tropical location, was made up
of 9 non-pro poker players. All but one player, the
winner was from the US. In the end, it
came down to a showdown between Biddulph and Mike
Darweesh. Darweesh is a software engineer from Tempe, Arizona.
After 7 grueling hours of play at the
final table, nerves are on edge and the final hand where
both players went all in produced the first million
dollar winner of a poker tourney that began online.
All 9 finalists received an all
expenses paid weekend to a five star resort in Costa
Rica for themselves and a friend or signifigent other.
All 9 also got $10, 000 just for making it to the final table.
